Embrace the Forbidden
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?
This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?
My Review: Anna is awesome through this whole book, she may just be one of my favorite female characters ever! Okay so Anna is not like other humans around her, sure she looks the same but she has powers. As she grew older they continued to come and they came at her strong. She was adopted by Patti who raised her like her own even knowing who she really is. You see Anna's real parents aren't normal either. Her mom was an actual angel and her dad a demon. Now she is even more special because angels don't normally take on humans, let alone fall in love with a demon. She is a rare Neph. Now at 16 Anna must figure out more about herself. It all started when her best friend Jay took her to this concert, where she spoke with the drummer backstage and had a moment. He spoke to her and then acted strange like he knows something. Anna shrugs it off until the night of a party where Kaiden the handsome drummer appears again. He reveals that he knows who she is and that he and her are alike. Its not long before she goes to his place to seek more answers about who she is and how this all works. Unfortunately Kaidan's dad does a surprise show up and she quickly has a chat with him. She will stay her good girl self and not do what the demon suggests. Kaidan is the son of the lust demon. Oh joy for Anna, they talk more and go back to Anna's place where he will meet Patti. Overhearing their plans for a trip Kaidan offers to take them for free with no string attached. Patti unable to go because they need the money. She agrees to let Anna go with him, only because time is running out for the one person who holds answers for Anna. The following day they set off together on their way to California. They start off nicely until they stop for the night at the hotel. Things get somewhat out of hand when Kaidan helps teach Anna to use her sense of touch. A kiss ends up happening and lucky Anna is strong to stop it before he gets out of hand. Things quickly get tense and he runs out to "work". The rest of the trip isnt to bad, they have some very good moments and few bad. They nearly have a really steamy night...but the book tells it better. Anna manages to see her dad and it was so much better than she planned. Sadly though they did not make it in time to see the nun, however she does leave her everything in her will. One box is very special and holds one of the greatest things ever. The way back, Anna does take a flight home, while Kaidan drive home. Once you get to this part it will pull you in like nothing you have ever read before! As the book goes along the story becomes to great because next thing you know, the book is over! If only I knew it would be this awesome I wouldn't have let it sit on my shelf for so long.
