My Review: This book was way to amazing to be the last book in the series. Sadly it is the end, but C.C. does have a story coming out about Della (:
Okay...So Kylie has left the Shadow Falls camp to be with her granddad at his camp of chameleons. Which is what Kylie is along with being a Protector. Which is good, because for the longest time Kylie had no clue what she was. Any who Kylie, her granddad and aunt are eating pizza. They have started making some of her favorite foods to be more considerate. Now when I have pizza, I take out the plastic plates and make everything easy clean up after. Kylie however is eating her pizza on fine china...like really? Fine china is more for fancy food/parties, but hey the plates are the last thing on Kylie'd mind. She is always thinking about Shadow Falls, her friends, Lucas, and about the new things she has learned. Suddenly her granddad leaves and rushes back saying the FRU have gotten in and they must become invisible and hide. Some time passes and they are told to go to a new location to hide. Kylie then hears and suddenly knows who is there. Derek, Burnett, and Lucas have come there. After some fighting with her aunt and granddad, Kylie becomes visible and she starts talking to figure this out. Burnett has come with news that Mario, the rouge has attacked a girl at the camp, and Kylie may be in trouble. Mario want's Kylie, if not to join him, then to be killed. ......Later that night Jenny appears at Kylie's window telling her to grab her things and follow her. As they make their way to the back woods Jenny explains that Kylie must get out of there because the elders won't let her leave. They will kidnap her if they have to, she wouldn't have left in the morning like she thinks. Nearing the woods they hear footsteps that end up belonging to Derek, which they explain whats going on keep mpving forward. Now just feet away they hear more sounds, this time its harder. The guards are invisible, so Kylie makes herself and Derek invisible to and that way she can figure out where they are....Now at Shadow Falls Kylie has no time to rest, first she gets back talks with people and at her cabin Luke is there and she still want's nothing to do with him. Although everyone keeps saying to give him a chance. Like all he did was get engaged and married to someone he didn't want to marry, oh and he never signed the papers. Totally no problem, right? Eh wrong on so many levels and Kylie just can't get over it no matter if she had enough time or not. After sending Luke off she walks to Hayden's cabin and who finds her but Burnett. This guy does not want her out alone and now is very angry with her, though he has a soft spot for her and can't be as mad as he seems. Now at the cabin he demands answers from them, and Kylie has Hayden agree to saying everything....Since she won't go away Kylie will have to figure something out with this ghost, but not right now. To make things better they along with Burnett head to the falls where they feel all calm. Calm is not what they get, at the falls they find a sword and when picked up by Kylie it glows.....With the sword gone they go back to their convo about boys and hickies, all totally normal until the sword shows up once again. A scene that I liked was when Holiday needs a favor from Kylie. She tells Kylie that they are going to the store and needs her to buy pregnancy tests for her and to buy tampons is their story for going. There Kylie buys them while Holiday keeps Burnett away. Once she paid for it and the awkward convo with the old man she turns and runs into her grandpa. All he does is give her phone back and said he is trying to keep her safe and wasn't in on the kidnapping. Then he goes to leave but Burnett see's and flips shit. Grabs Kylie gets her in the car and starts going crazy. She tries to explain but he won't listen and Holiday is trying her best to calm him down......Later that day they head out to lunch only to arrive back at the camp with more drama! Her mom comes running up to her because the card company had called, and so her mom called to see and make sure it wasn't stolen, then went into the whole, "is the tests for you" talk. ........Holiday reveals that she is pregnant and that Burnett was a total ass. He does show up seconds later with the biggest bouquet of flowers ever, plus he admits he is an ass but will continue to stay and marry Holiday and have this baby. Ok the book is brilliant but if I keep going the review will be to long for people to read. I will keep the ending hidden for you all to read yourself and enjoy all the fun, shock, happiness that this book will bring you. I will be on the look out for more books from C.C.!
