Fia was born with flawless instincts. Her first impulse, her gut feeling, is always exactly right. Her sister, Annie, is blind to the world around her—except when her mind is gripped by strange visions of the future.

Trapped in a school that uses girls with extraordinary powers as tools for corporate espionage, Annie and Fia are forced to choose over and over between using their abilities in twisted, unthinkable ways… or risking each other’s lives by refusing to obey.

In a stunning departure from her New York Times bestselling Paranormalcy trilogy, Kiersten White delivers a slick, edgy, heartstoppingly intense psychological thriller about two sisters determined to protect each other—no matter the cost.

My Review: This is a new series written by an amazing author. Kiersten is one of my favorites, and for those of you who don't know she has written another series called Paranormalcy, which is also amazing. Review on those can be found on my blog.

Now on to Mind Games. This book is written from Sophia(Fia) and her sister Annie's views.  Fia and her sister have just lost their parents and now will be living with their aunt shortly. Soon they get into this school that provides just about everything. Fia is this very smart girl and her sister can see the future. In fact Annie had a dream about her parents in the car, driving along and then they get hit and die. Her babysitter went to call her parents but they never got it. So what Annie saw was real. She has some hard times but then finds another person who is like her and will help teach her how it all works. While Fia in the other hand goes out on these missions. The beginning of the book she is looking for a guy named Adam. When she does find him she just can't kill him. He is found helping this puppy and is just a sweet guy and pretty cute to, which makes Fia change her mind in a way. She doesn't want to kill him, but will do it to keep her sister safe. Before anything can happen they are ambushed by three guys, who are not sent by the same people who sent her. She quickly takes them down, but gets hurt in the process. Now she and Adam must run to find the guys car and drive back to Chicago. While Adam tens to her wound she calls James(one who sent her) and explains about the ambush and that Adam has been killed. Now things are going to be tricky, first they must get back to Chicago, then has Adam hide away until she can contact him. In the meantime he is considered dead and can't contact anyone. All seems easy, except she must keep her thoughts and emotions safe. There are people who can read both and she has to be very careful, who knows what could happen now. As you read more into the story things unfold and danger comes along. Annie tells Fia she wanted the hit to be done, not only that but she had to get them to order the hit, only thing was she didn't think they would have sent her. Which of course doesn't make Fia happy at all, plus she is already angry all the time. Fia may have it harder, she doesn't do regular classes, mostly training and fighting classes. These classes don't use fake weapons like normal classes do, she has to fight with real knives, and more, which leave some unwanted scars. Annie can't leave the floor she is on without someone's key card, which leaves her on the same floor all day and talking to Clarice. Now that is one girl Fia does not like along with Ms. Robertson but Fia finds ways to annoy her. The day Fia came back Annie told her she saw Fia dancing and that someone was watching her. She tells Fia not to go dancing so that she stays safe, she agrees. However after yelling at Annie about her parents she goes out and dances anyway. When there James finds her and they do some dancing and She drinks a bit, even though she promised Annie she wouldn't drink anymore. They both dance and drink and James reveals that he does love her but doesn't show it because that's what his dad wants. Figure that if she loves him, it'll create more ties to keep her around. James though likes her before his dad wanted them together. They notice people coming and attack them. Fia gets away but turns back for James. They run off but Fia gets caught and they take her with them, while James heads back. He goes to Annie and explains what happened and mentions that Fia didn't kill Adam. James leaves and soon comes back with his dad, they have a quick chat before he leaves, but James never told him that Adam was still alive. What happens now? Will Fia, Adam, Annie, and everyone be ok? Well you have to read to find that out.
