Don’t look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.
That is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he’d dare to fall for.
Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.
My Review: Ethan is now all grown up, but not without some trouble! Ethan is now in high school, and hopefully his last one. He has been to more than one high school, due to his problems with the Fey. Ethan can see them, and so that can bring trouble he doesn't want. His sister Megan is the Iron Queen, but unlike her, Ethan want's nothing to do with them, period. As you know the Fey can be a pain. So they have cause trouble for him. A fire went off at school, he carried a weapon on him, and a few other problems, but it was all because of they Fey. So now Ethan starts a new school and hopefully he won't need to change right? Well who knows, I can tell you his first day wasn't the best. Kids talked about him, teachers had their own things with him, and he ended up in the principles office. He's there because he tried to stop some kid from getting beaten up. What's worse is that the kid has dealings with the Fey, like striking deals and doing favors. Now as Ethan leave the school to go home, that kid Todd follows him and asks if and how he knows the Fey. Ethan does everything he can to ignore the kid, until he mentions his sister. Yup the Fey talk about his sister and Todd knows about her. Ethan then has some words with the Todd, then drives off. On a rainy day, Todd shows up at his house and needs help. Something is outside his house and is getting closer, threatening him and the Fey with him. Ethan however doesn't want to be involved, but does help Todd. Why? Because they may go after Ethan, and that Ethan's mom invited Todd in and to spend the night. The following day sucks for Ethan. He got no sleep, has to be extra careful because the jock wants to hurt him, more Fey problems come up and the girl St James comes in and stops the jock from going any further in hurting Ethan. So yeah bad school day, but hey once he's out of school he goes to a spot and has a talk with this new creature following him and Todd. He notices that this creature is different. Not like any Fey he has ever seen. It's has long and sharp ends and just ugly, it even hovers as if the ground doesn't want to be touched. They call themselves forgotten ones. It comes with a warning, Ethan is to stop messing around with there plans, and mentions the half breed and his sister. Hm this book is getting good. Jumping ahead into the book things get really good! One of the unknown Fey is chasing Ethan and Kenzie. To escape Ethan takes the coin and uses it to enter the nevernever. Now he and Kenzie must go find his sister and tell her whats going on. Once they get to Megan, Ethan acts like a total jerk to her. Not wanting to stay at the palace for much longer, Ethan and Kenzie escape the palace with the help of Keirran. Once they get back to the mortal world they stop at the place of exiles. There they see the exiled queen, see this girl Keirran had to see, and hey Ethan and Keirran are closer than you would think! They are all sent on a journey to help everyone. This book is absolutely AMAZING!
