Naya Adams has given up on feeling loved.
A walking cliché, Naya lost her parents in a freak car accident at thirteen and
has been living with her detached foster ‘adults’ ever since. When Naya enrolls
in one of the most respected theatre programs in New England, she is more than
eager to trade in her pain for the spotlight. College would finally be the
fresh start she’d longed for.
Unfortunately for Naya, her high school boyfriend, and abuser, Seth, tags along--trapping her in the cycle of tarnished love.
Accustomed to emotional numbness, Naya enters he r first acting class, unaware of what was waiting on the other side of the door: her Twin Flame. Rarer and more intense than soul mates, Twin Flames search for centuries looking for their other half. It is in another student, an olive-skinned and terribly scarred sophomore named Etash, that Naya will discover what being loved really means.
Although they both try to resist each other, their bond is ultimately too strong. Together they’ll learn that this is not the first time they have been pulled together, nor will it be their last.
But how will her abuser react to Naya’s new flame?

My Review: It's the first day of college, and Naya is nervous enough, without her boyfriend coming up to her to make sure she was OK. It was more like checking up on her according to Naya. Any who Naya gets to the classroom first and so she sits down and reads her favorite book. Romeo and Juliet. Then we have Etash, a guy who doesn't like first days very much, and also likes to be the first person in the room to avoid everyone's stares. When he arrives he notices that another person is already there so he quickly moves past her and to his seat. Once the class gets rolling something happens between Naya and Etash. Each of them began thinking to themselves about the other and how they care for each other. Neither wants to admit anything and they try to think of other things. Naya is upset once she sees the scare on his face, while Etash has some sort of feeling but doesn't want anything to happen. He refuses to have is heart tramped on. On her way back to her room, Naya spies a paper for auditions. She decides to go because its Romeo and Juliet. Naya's boyfriend arrives and tells her to be ready for tonight's dinner. She tells him that she has auditions and can't make it. He gets mad by it and goes back out. Once the time comes Naya heads to the auditions, (where Etash will be the assistant director to) she and everyone else there start dancing on stage, even Etash danced. Once the dancing was over the director Elizabeth talks to Etash about the casting. He already know what she is going to say, and he refuses. Refuses to play Romeo, but he will play anyway if he wants to overlook the lack of shows from the year before. Whats harder for Etash is that Naya will be Juliet. What's worse is that Naya faints and gets hurt. Etash has to carry her to Elizabeth's office. When he picked her up new emotions flared through him. He just wants to protect her. But after everything is calm and Naya wakes she goes back to her room, where Seth becomes over controlling boyfriend yet again. The following day Naya seed the mark on her face that resembles the scar on Etash's face. Nit being able to take she skips her first class. Etash also skips a class after he gets a book he needs for a class. He finds a myth about two flames that reminds him of what his grandma used to tell him. He quickly runs to do more research about this. Jumping ahead to a part in the book that got me mad. It's the morning, after a bad night and as usual Seth calls a number of times before Naya answers it. He then rushes over checking to see if anyone is there and after she explained what happened he wouldn't forgive her. Instead he had her take off her shirt while he whipped her back with his belt. Plus it wasn't the first time he has done this! It annoys me that some people will just take that from someone who is supposed to be there for them. But at least things get better. After a bad night with Seth, Naya ends up at Etash's place. There they both talk and things are good for them both, and before you know it Naya is all over Etash. But you know that could be the wine talking...or that Seth has drugged Naya during their dinner. Being so worried about her, Etash lays with her and keeps her safe. The following morning Naya wakes up and she and Etash talk. Then they go for a walk and Etash tells her about his grandma's theory about them. The ending will be for you all to find out. The ending may just be my favorite part, Etash and Naya are amazing together, and their twin flames have been found finally. I want to read more of this!
