My Review: Elise and her family move to a new town, sort of a start over. So far things are normal, her dad goes to pastor at the church and Elise's sister Lucy is still sneaking out at night. Shortly though things begin to happen. Elise is having these dreams of people and this girl with glowing skin. Elise doesn't know what this mean, so she continues on and goes off to start her new job. While talking to Abe, a guy named Diego accidently shrugs against her, and suddenly Elise knows everything about Diego and his life. Elise is now worried about what just happened and how she knew things about a guy she never met before. She goes on with her day and then as she gets into the car to go home, Elise is attacked. Abe comes to her rescue and scares the old lady away. Abe then explains that the old lady is just some physic who comes around that place alot but has never attacked anyone before. Elise then just heads home and explains what happen and about her strange dreams. A few day go by and Elise and Abe sorta have a thing. Abe wants her but she doesn't feel the same about Abe, but they continue to hang out a bit more. One day Elise goes to see the physic to find out why she hurt her and more. As she gets there she runs into Harlin yet again, Elise can't quite put it but, she seems to have a connection with him. Now at the physic's Elise finds out more than she planned to know. She is told that she is one of the forgotten ones, and she may not remember it, but she will in due time. Elise demands to know more but the Physic holds off until another day. Another thing Elise has to deal with is two guys. One day Elise goes on a ride with Harlin but, Abe saw them before they took off. Acting all crazy about this Elise tells Abe to let her go and leave them, saying that she'll call him later. Harlin and Elise go off to get some food and they get to talking. Once home Abe call's Elise and he shows up at her house with some treats to make up for what happened earlier. Abe says that Elise is sleepy and suddenly she is and so he takes her to bed and lays with her despite her telling him to leave. Going more into the book Elise is at work when she and Abe have s tiny fight. She sets off to find him in hopes he wouldn't be mad at her. She finds him and instead of being nice he puts her against the wall and hurts Elise, only to have her not remember within minutes, so that when Abe finds her down he appears as a hero to her. After work Elise heads over to the physic and Harlin shows up at the same time. So they both enter together and Elise learns alto more this time. Harlin reveals the he is a Seer and that he loved the girl Elise used to be. Charlotte's soul has come back and has become Elise, that's why Harlinn has had trouble loving Elise and letting her love him back. All this news makes Harlin upset so he runs out and now Elise is alone to learn more on her own. She learns about the shadows and her old seer. After learning all she can for now, she heads home. The last thing Elise expected at night was company, who happens to be Harlin. He shows up hurt, but before explaining he tells Elise he is ready to love her and let her love him back. Besides all that things are gonna turn. While at diner with Harlin Monroe arrives and surprised to find out she came back. They talk about making a plan to end Onika, but Elise learns something else. Her sister Lucy is also a forgotten, yet she chose to stay, making her a shadow. Things go crazy after that, Elise runs out and goes home to find her sister. She finds her and notices a slight change in her, but she can't so much when she finds Abe is at her house. He comes in and tries to take Elise as his, but she wont let him. Once he does leave she runs off to Harlin and Monroe. They come up with a plan that may involve Elise bursting into light. This book was better than the first and I can't wait for more.
