Love or life.
Henry or their child.
The end of her family or the end of the world.
Kate must choose.

During nine months of captivity, Kate Winters has survived a jealous goddess, a vengeful Titan and a pregnancy she never asked for. Now the Queen of the Gods wants her unborn child, and Kate can't stop her--until Cronus offers a deal.

In exchange for her loyalty and devotion, the King of the Titans will spare humanity and let Kate keep her child. Yet even if Kate agrees, he'll destroy Henry, her mother and the rest of the council. And if she refuses, Cronus will tear the world apart until every last god and mortal is dead.

With the fate of everyone she loves resting on her shoulders, Kate must do the impossible: find a way to defeat the most powerful being in existence, even if it costs her everything.

Even if it costs her eternity

My Review: This book has it all! Love, war, heart-wrenching moments, and more! Possibly the best ending of a series I have read, though I wish it would go on.  So nine months after being kidnapped and pregnant, the day has come for her child. Ava had a part in this, mostly because to protect her husband but Kate is still very mad at her. Cronus is there trying to get Kate to side with him and she will not be harmed along with her son. But agreeing to anything will leave Kate to be with just her son. All Kate wants is to take her kid and be with Henry and put Cronus back in his place. Soon after her son is born, she has this vision with Henry and the rest of the council. Soon it comes true, Henry has entered the island, ready to take them back. Things don't so go pretty though. While Henry fights Kate must find her son. Ava helps her to find her son and soon Kate starts to hate Ava slightly less. But you'll know why when you read this part of the book. Quickly everyone is there, Henry is in the room and notices the boy and is told that is his son. He can't do much right now, Calliope has him held tight along with a weapon that could hurt him. This was the only weapon that could actually harm a god, since nothing can do much damage to a god.  Kate does everything she can to distract Calliope so Henry can have a chance to fight back. In the distraction Kate gets stabbed in the arm, that's all Henry needs to get free and fight back, only problem is Henry got stabbed in the chest. That's when things go south, Kate falls into a vision and has to be pulled out before she doesn't ever come back. She wakes up and finds herself in a room in Olympus. Her mom is there taking care of her and finds out Henry is in bad shape and they are doing everything they can. After some things have been done, Kate and James make a plan to see Cronus wife, who happens to be Henry's mom. They travel by plane, because Kate doesn't know to get to places in a flash, plus James likes to travel like humans do. While on the flight Kate goes back into the vision and comes out to James calling her. He want's her to take him into the vision with her, so she does and he quickly makes her leave. Back from the vision James says that wasn't Henry with their son, it was Cronus looking him. Now Kate is all angry now and is more determined now than ever to get her son back. At least she know's that Ava is watching over him, and protecting him as much as she can. They finally reach Africa and meet with Rhea, where she refuses to join in the war or face  her husband, but she does heal Henry and next thing you know he is right there in Africa with them. Kate runs to him and they continue with the journey ahead. They go visit Athens, where everything is gone, after Cronus had destroyed everything there  except fr the Parthenon. They look around and find pictures on the floor of the Parthenon, that shows the history and Cronus plans. One picture shows him with his queen that looks just like Kate, then she explains to Henry what she had said to Cronus and that she just wants to be a family with him and Milo.  They all arrive back in Olympus and make a plan how to make everything right again. Henry also teaches Kate how to move from place to place in seconds. She also takes Henry into her vision to meet Milo and he goes off to explore for Calliope and the others. While in Olympus they have some meetings and each time they don't want Kate doing anything, but hat never does stop her. She also helps them by saying what Cronus plans on doing. Soon the council has plans made and so does Henry and Kate. They along with James all head into Cronus place. They find Ava and Milo and seconds later Calliope and Cronus are there. Calliope just wants to kill Kate but Cronus won't allow that and next thing you know Calliope wants Henry and Milo to stay and for Ava to work her magic on them. Henry and Kate talk silently to themselves and agree on a plan. Henry and Milo will stay there and Henry will pretend to like Calliope while Kate and Jame return home to make more plans. As the book goes along things just keep getting more and more intense. Then finally the final battle has arrived. The council head off while Jame, Kate, and her mom head into the underworld to see Persephone. When they get there James and Kate's mom leave her there thinking she will be safest there. As you know Kate won't stand for it and comes up with her own plan. She and Persephone find the other girls who were killed by Calliope and have they help Kate fight. Since they are dead they can't get hurt but can help with the fight. Once they agree they get back to Cronus place. All the girls grab weapons and free Nicholas. Now on the roof,  Kate finds Ava there and tells her what happened. She also spots Henry and Milo and Calliope. Calliope goes after Kate and the other girls go after Calliope. She can't believe that they are there and makes it easier to get the blade and hurt Calliope, Next thing you know she is down, and then her body is gone.  She isn't really dead, because the weapons didn't work so well. Eventually the war is over, but not without some sadness. Rhea surprises everyone by showing up and attacking Cronus to make him go peacefully. He agrees and they and Henry go lock him back up. Now Calliope is dead, and so is Ava. Everyone gathers around her as she speaks her final words to everyone. Back at Olympus there is a hologram of Ava laying in a crystal casket and everyone in Olympus gets a chance to say goodbye and then the portal is open for everyone else. One boy that stays there longer and with Nicholas, its her son Nick. After 3 days it was over and Ava was completely gone, only in their memories now. Quickly a meeting comes up, Water will decide who will replace his queen, and asks that Kate take Ava's place until they can find someone. Kate not wanting to leave her home in the Underworld, can't take it. Her son speaks up and will do it, for Ava but he will have to report to Kate and they will take Ava's place together. It is also their job to find someone new for her place. After everything that happened Kate, Henry, and Milo are back in the Underworld, and finally can be a real family. So far this book is the last one, but Aimee might be making more.

Kate Winters has won immortality. But if she wants a life with Henry in the Underworld, she'll have to fight for it.Becoming immortal wasn't supposed to be the easy part. Though Kate is about to be crowned Queen of the Underworld, she's as isolated as ever. And despite her growing love for Henry, ruler of the Underworld, he's becoming ever more distant and secretive. Then, in the midst of Kate's coronation, Henry is abducted by the only being powerful enough to kill him: the King of the Titans.

As the other gods prepare for a war that could end them all, it is up to Kate to save Henry from the depths of Tartarus. But in order to navigate the endless caverns of the Underworld, Kate must enlist the help of the one person who is the greatest threat to her future.

Henry's first wife, Persephone.

My Review: Six months away, and it's time for Kate to return to the Palace. She will be crowned queen and rule by Henry's side as Queen of the Underworld. The day is supposed to go just fine, but it is far from fine. She arrives and Henry isn't around he is off doing something. Kate enters the Underworld and has a vision. Already she has a gift and is told about that a bit later. Ava shows Kate her new room and her closet. Which is full of clothes that she likes with just a few fancy dresses. Kate however knows that something is wrong. Henry still hasn't arrive, but when he does he is hurt. Kate wonders what happens but Henry won't say everything. Kate is worried Henry doesn't have any feelings for her, but he does. He just sucks at showing it. Kate doesn't get to learn about alot of things before it's time for the coronation. The ceremony begins, but within five minutes the window breaks and shards of glass head for the couple. Henry and his brothers prepare to fight whatever is coming at them, while Kate and Ava head for the exit. Suddenly a fog comes after them, Kate moves Ava out of the way and gets hit herself. That is when everyone tells her what's going on. Calliope is mad at Kate and is going after everyone. She has made a plan with the one thing that can kill them. King of the Titans. Kate's mother explains about the story of how they came and how they once defeated the Titans before. Soon after Kate has another vision. In the vision Calliope has Henry and his brothers, each one of them is hurt. Calliope is making a plan and talking with the King about finishing off the guys and that the King better listen. Calliope is the only one who can get him out. Kate tells her mother of the vision and she and Sophia runs off. Kate hates being left behind and not knowing everything that goes on. She decides she is going into the underworld to find and save Henry. Days pass by and soon enough they find Persephone. They get her to help them find and save Henry, and the others. Once they get to where he is, Ava, James and Persephone go in first. While waiting Kate meets Irene, she is the girl who died before Kate showed up. She was also killed, but if it hadn't happen she would have been Henry's current wife. They talk quickly, and Kate soon goes to join the others. She just can't wait and before she goes, she promises to return and spend time with Irene. Kate finds Persephone talking with Calliope, who soon finds her. Things happen and short story is Kate beats Calliope and they all end up back at the Palace. Everyone is now safe and home, with Calliope set in a room as a prisoner. Now these next few chapters things get crazy. In the beginning of the book Kate and Henry barley say anything to each other let alone kiss. So now at the end Kate and Henry have this huge fight. Well the fight was mostly Kate yelling and Henry barley saying a word. Eventually though things between them get better. Much better, where they both are starting to be a true married couple, and they are both finally happy. I'll stop there, I would keep going, but the ending has so much going on that I would spoil the whole thing! I will say that I was beyond mad that the third book is NOT out yet! I need the next book like yesterday. The very last chapter will have you going crazy at what happens.

EVERY GIRL WHO HAS TAKEN THE TEST HAS DIED.

NOW IT'S KATE'S TURN.

It's always been just Kate and her mom--and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear that her mother won't live past the fall.

Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.

Kate is sure he's crazy--until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she suceeds, she'll become Henry's future bride and a goddess.

IF SHE FAILS...

My Review: Kate is driving away, away from her home and into her mothers hometown. Kate's mother is dying and they decided to go someplace where her mom can go peacefully. However Kate can't stand the thought of it, of losing her mom and of moving to a new place. So on her first day of school, Kate is late. Her mom got sick that morning, and didn't trust the new nurse yet. So anyway Kate arrives and runs into a kid named James. He ends up being very friendly to Kate, apparently he and everyone else already knew of her arrival. James on the other hand ends up sitting at lunch with her, follows her around a bit, and follows her to her car after school. Hm James seems slightly stalkerish rather than overly friendly. Other than James, Kate meets two other people who also became quick friends with her. Dylan and Ava. Dylan is this cute guy who stares at Kate all day, and Ava ends up inviting Kate to a bonfire. Great, so Kate made some friends and plans with them. Though that was not what she wanted. All she wanted was to get through this year being invisible. The night of the party is one night Kate will not forget. Ava brings Kate to the area near the Eden manor. Instead of getting ready to know people, Ava tricked Kate. Told her to stop messing with her BF and then she jumped into the water. Instead of jumping back out she doesn't. Ava hit her head and is dead. Kate pulls her out of the water, and suddenly this guy comes out of nowhere. He says that he can Help Ava but it'll come with a price. Full of worry Kate agrees to anything if he can save her. So he does and they head back home for the night, while Kate lies awake wondering what just happened. After two weeks have passed, the same guy shows up. His name is Henry and tells Kate its time to leave with him. Not yet ready, Kate says no then goes to bed. The next day she finds that Ava is dead. Some time later after things happened, Kate is at the manor. He she will learn things that many people believe to be myths. Henry tells her that he rules the underworld, everyone at the manor isn't exactly alive anymore. He explains to her why she is there and what to expect if she chose to stay. Plus Henry makes a deal with Kate, as long as she remains at the manor, she will get more time with her mom. So Kate agrees to this along with taking the tests. So if she passes she will be his wife, and also rule. If she was to lose she would be returned to the outside world with no memory of what happened. Kate goes through so much. She learns and studies about these myths, she has to wear dresses now, she ends up passing a test without knowing it. She finds Ava and they hang out together. Kate finds out things about Henry and James. Hey she even gets a cute puppy! Life as Kate knows it won't ever be normal now and she just happens to have an amazing journey ahead of her. This book is amazing!!! It has been a while since I read anything with Greek mythology and Aimee took it and made an amazing book that I couldn't out down.
