“One cross will bind two couples across four centuries.”

An ancient love story, locked in the heart of a sunken Armada ship, is destined to find its happy ending... even if it takes four hundred years.

Amanda Morrison does not believe in love or destiny, but when a long-lost aunt leaves her a mysterious golden cross in her will, her uneventful life in Galway City is turned upside down. The arrival of Xavier, a charismatic yachtsman in search of treasure and adventure, complicates life further, as their paths seem destined to cross. While Amanda tries to uncover the truth about her family’s past, a strange series of events ensues, involving drama on the high seas, hypnosis, scary sheep, Armada treasure and five-a-side football championships. Though, not all in that order. An intriguing tale of love, redemption and the power of a soul's promise.

My Review: So I got this book as a request and was excited to read it. First the blurb alone, is interesting. The cover I love and it goes very well with the story.  Love and Destiny is played with in this book and that is something I love to read about.

So it starts off with finding who you are and your destiny. Amanda was adopted and so, knowing who you are might change for some. Though Amanda always knew she was adopted, but still she wantes to know about that family.

Xavier is also in the same boat. He doesnt know much about himself. He got lost during his trials. Plus he was also adopted.

With both of them adopted with no real past, Xavier believes there is some sort of connection with Amanda. What kind of connection? Well you will have to read the book, but its this part of the book that took off for me.

Overall I reall loved this book. It was a little longer than most books, but it was full of details and an amazing story, that I would love to see continued. Plus we are in the 1500s which is one of the best times to read about.

Evie took destiny, love, history, anicient, and these characters and opened a wonderful new world for me.
