Paige Donovan is an ambitious college graduate who aspires to reach the top of the corporate ladder. She’s climbing fast when given the promotion of a lifetime at a prestigious fashion magazine in New York City. Her bright future comes to an unexpected halt after news of her father’s death. She inherits his old cabin in the Colorado Rockies, and just when she thinks her luck couldn’t get any worse, she has a car accident in the mountains and awakens in the small, remote community of Black River.

Soon, she’s engulfed in the mystical world of Varulv---wolves descended from 13th century Scandinavia and blessed by Norse gods with the ability to appear human. Paige is desperate to return home, but never expects to fall for her rescuer, Riley Gray, a charming young werewolf from England who offers her an alternate future with his pack.

Now, she must choose between the career she’s always wanted and the love she’s always dreamed.

My Review: So I got this for review and was happy with this book. It turned out to be different than what I originally thought. There was more paranormal parts than I thought and it made me happy.

We have Paige and Riley, two great characters in this story. Paige was smart, and didn't let anything or anyone push her around. Though I kind of wanted her to have a little more life. Be more excited, have a stronger personality, and a little more. Though she was still good to read about and how she is with Riley.

Riley is the alpha male around here. He can be a wolf and look like a human man. Riley has a good heart, he did save Paige, so you can tell he isn't the kind of wolf that would want to hurt every person who appears in Varulv. Which you will learn is a different world that he lives in, along with the other wolves.  The whole history behind them is very original and great to learn of new ideas that are out there.

Eventually these two begin to fall for each other like we would expect. Though it was nice with these two, they didn't just jump in and  have the whole relationship happening before you get to the third chapter.  Which is good, since Paige left her good job to be in a cabin out in the woods. So it's good that Paige is so strong and isn't jumping in like we see in a lot of books that involve paranormal.

So overall I really enjoyed this book and would really want to read more of April's books. More wolves? April is really good with wolves and giving them a story, I'd love more of it.
