When did you realize that you wanted to become a
writer?
I’ve always enjoyed writing and being a
bestselling author is a dream come true!
Is being an Author all you dreamed of, or did it
just happen? The best and worst thing about it?
Ha ha! I didn’t read through all the questions
first. Being an author IS a dream come true! The best part about it is sharing
all of my stories with my fans. The worst part about it is that not having as
much time as I’d like to write!
What was the very first thing you ever wrote?
My first serious attempt writing a novel
started in May of 2012. Within six months, I had finished Grishma and I had signed with my amazing publisher, Limitless
Publishing.
What made you create (your book)? How did it come to you?
I love reading and I had read some incredible
young adult fantasy novels when I thought, “I can do this too!” So I sat down
and started. Luckily, I have a super creative imagination and the story ideas
just came to me!
Who is your literary hero?
I’m a huge fan of Amanda Hockings and Cornelia
Funke!
How much of your characters are based on your
traits or someone you know personally?
I use a mixture of both. I also create
characters completely from scratch, traits and all! Sometimes I’ll be out and
see someone do something memorable and BOOM I write it into my next scene.
Describe your main character in six words.
Grishma: Vicious,
vile, rank, murderous, nefarious, and terrifying.
Describe the world you’ve created in six words.
Necoh: Mystical, magical, beautiful, mysterious,
dangerous, and breathtaking.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on the third book in The Necoh Saga
and a contemporary romance novel.
Are there any authors or books you recommend?
I love Jessica Gibson and all of her books!
What's your favorite thing to do when you're not
writing?
When I’m not writing, I love spending time with
my husband and our family, especially our little furry babies!
