My Review: UGH! As you may know, I LOVE anything by Molly. I will always push her books onto anyone that will listen.
But this book?? Oh man...
First of all, I HATE Maci's brothers. Overprotective brothers to a whole new level. These boys are batshit at the mention of a guy, never mind if they actually saw the guy. At just the mention of a guy her brothers were all over her for information, going through her phone, reminding her how no guy is safe from them, etc. That is a huge NO for me.
I loved Maci though. She is sweet, kind and deserves a guy who really loves her and is actually good for her. Her kind of boyfriend (more like the friends with benefits kind) was an ass. Out of nowhere he finally says to Maci that he's done pretending and wants to finally lock this in and become engaged BUT she has to fix her hair, hide tattoos, remove piercings, dress better, etc. She's got to fit this certain image for him. Again, that's a NO for me. This poor girl needs someone better.
Who is this someone better??? Maybe its the next door neighbor that she's known forever, besties with her brothers and has quite the prank wars with.
Connor is dealing with his own things. But it doesn't take long for Maci to start taking over his thoughts. Prank wars, dealing with the douchey guy she just got rid of and being drunk at his place probably made that happen but hey, its all worth it in the end.
When these two finally get together, you'll be screaming bout it being about damn time.
Put aside the douchey ex, Connor breaking her heart when he just needed to open up and could've prevented so much. But they needed to learn, grow and everything in between. But together they finally found the person they need forever.
Did this book drive me bonkers in so many ways?? Yes, yes it did. But its also the heart wrenching, addictive romance that I always come to expect from Molly and damn do I love her books.
Also, have tissues at the ready always cause damn if her books don't
wreck me every damn time.
