Waking up in a desolate cell, Gaia realizes that she has been kidnapped by a human trafficking organization, doomed to be sold to the highest bidder and unable to remember anything before her capture.

An opportune rescue by Raoul, the Prince of Kayamato, saves Gaia from a gruesome future, and she is thrown into a world of luxury and privilege. As she struggles to regain her memory, Gaia learns that her rescue was no accident and finds herself in even more danger, hunted by a powerful drug lord, targeted by a thrill seeking pirate, and betrayed by those she thought closest to her.

Fighting for sanity and survival, she works to unravel the truth behind her capture, each revelation more shocking than the last. The intricate web of deceptions spun around her family will shatter her world, leaving her unsure if she will ever trust again.

Through it all, she must survive to save a friend before it’s too late…

My Review: If you've been looking for your next dark romance read, then look no further!

Gaia wakes up to find her memories leading up to now are gone. She isn't certain if her memory will come back, but she is certain that she's been kidnapped. Neither coming off as a good situation right now.

As Gaia is rescued, she has no idea there is something more behind it. She is trying navigating everything that is going on and working to recover her memories.

The twists, turns and shocks WILL get to you. I found myself on the edge of my seat and then surely upset that the book was over.

It gave me a little bit of everything and was meshed together well. You'll be on the lookout for what's to come next, screaming who she needs to trust and who to be alert around. You'll basically want to be part of it to hold Gaia's hand and get her through this. The way parts are written gives you more of an insight than you probably wanted to know on what someone in that type of situation might go through. So keep that in mind, there might be moments that seem tough to get through or maybe even triggering for some, but overall really well done.  You won't be disappointed and will be on the hunt for more by this author.
