Sophie’s life has changed. She’s moved to New York, she’s playing music for new people, and she’s making new friends. Then there’s Myles, and the fact that he is now her boyfriend—and everyone knows it.

She’s not exactly normal, living in a half-human, half-vampire world, but she’s finally, truly happy. However, some parts of Sophie and Myles’ old lives still hide in the dark, waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

Sophie’s having nightmares again, but they aren't about her; Myles is hiding something as well, something Sophie isn’t sure she wants to know.

And one lie will change everything.

No matter how hard she tries to cover up the marks her monsters have left behind, they never truly go away, and Myles’ monsters are no different.

Once again, Sophie’s caught between life and death, but this time, only she can save herself.

My Review: Its time to jump back into Sophie's world. She is now getting her feet on the ground and having her life. Playing music, new friends and of course adorable Myles.  Now I hope this normal life of hers can last, but can this normal outweigh what is about to come?

This book we get learn more of Myles's friends and the vampire world he lives in. I like learning about Evan, hes pretty cool and mentions things about the vampire world too. Though as you can expect, with a secret world, comes with secrets that can ruin more than just a relationship. Secrets were bound to pop up eventually and I was surprised at some of them, and I understand that not all could be revealed, but Sophie and Myles keep more secrets to themselves than I would have liked. So lets hope more are revealed!

So you learned Sophie was really gifted with music in the first book, but in this book she plays the piano so often now and she is so amazing at it. You can get a good sense of her talents with the way things are written. She doesn't play for just herself, but for others and making a life with her music. She is learning what happniess is in a brand new city with her boyfriend and friends.

However, as you may have guessed something happens. Something that gets you sitting straight up and holding on to the book for dear life, oh and the ending drove me nuts. I can't believe the way it ended, but thankfully I had book three ready to dive into.

Should I give some jucicy stuff before I go? I shall..... well remember how I mentioned secrets? Well eventually as you read on, more secrets will be revealed and Sophie is going to flip and wonder what is going on and if anything is worth it anymore. Like Myles is this amazing guy and suddenly he gets me all angry and I'm just waiting for him to fix all this before something evil comes at them! Which will come btw, and Sophie will have to decide how she wants things to end. Life or Death, Myles or nothing. Now that part of the book had me so glued in, that I really lost track of time.....
