Kelly Callahan had everything going for her. Everything that is, except for a relationship. It wasn’t for the lack of trying, it just seemed like she was a magnet for all the wrong ones. But all of that was about to change the minute she laid eyes on Jake.
On a dare from her close friend, Michelle, Kelly accepts a challenge to date and become Jake’s girlfriend within three months. The consequence of losing is global humiliation, and she refuses to lose.
Enlisting the help of her childhood friend and confidant, Brian, Kelly manages to catch Jakes attention. She also unknowingly hooks Brian who tries to sabotage the plan. Kelly finds herself with a dilemma; take the final step with Jake and win the plan or follow her heart and reveal her feelings for Brian.
My Review: This book was an easy read and was fine to me. It wasn't grabbing through the whole book, and after halfway, I was losing a bit of interest in the book.
So what I did like about the book was the idea of the book. Girl wants a guy and makes a plan. I liked it since I know that things don't always go the right way, so this plan that Kelly had may or may not go as planed. Kelly is smart and has had relationships, they just didn't work out. So yeah, maybe you need to have one or two guys before you figure what you want or before you end up meeting the right guy.
So Kelly plans out this whole thing just to get Jake for herself. Now how many times does a plan with a guy work?? It always has a bump, and Kelly does run into them. Brian is that bump, she has liked him for a while. It's more that just friends type of feeling now and she can't very well change her mind about the Jake thing. Well she could, but will she get the guts to forget Jake and tell Brian the truth?
Okay so all of that got me interested and hooked for a while, afterward things got a bit boring and I just wasn't so into it, until the ending came and it hooked me again. I will say that I finished the book and if there was more I would go out and get it.
